Aït Benhaddou is an ighrem, along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech in present-day Morocco. Most citizens attracted by the tourist trade live in more modern dwellings in a village on the other side of the river, although there are four families still living in the ancient village.
You will start from your hotel in Marrakech at 7:00am and drive about 190 km, passing through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n Tichka pass, stopping for photos along the way include breakfast stop.
Once you arrived to Ait ben Haddou village, your guide will take you to discover the ksar of Haddou.
Ksar Ait-Ben-Haddou is a typical example of the Berber traditional architecture. Walking through the ‘streets’ and under (kasbah) , you will spend an hour or little more in Ait, afterwards then a lunch in restaurant nearby. On the way back to Marrakech you have a shortstop in the high Atlas.
